KUNO workshop. The Civic Imaginary.
Parallel to the political and economic tensions occurring across the globe there has emerged a new sense for informal, makeshift, and minor economic and pedagogical structures, supporting aspects of direct democracy, shared economies, and commonwealth. These can be appreciated as counterpoints to the major structures of national governance, and open the way for a new type of political subjectivity – a rethinking of the forms of agency and what constitutes acts of civic life.
The course aims to research these topics by focusing on the relation between the political and the personal, and proposes “the civic imagination” as a platform for supporting creative expressions.
